Clayton GA  (April 2, 2001) – The #55 Powers Motorsports/ TruckSeries.com Craftsman Truck Team  has decided to sit out the next race at Martinsville, VA. April 7th. The Dodge Truck owned and driven by Tom Powers was damaged in Mesa Marin and crews have not finished readying the truck for this weeks race.  The next race will be Saint Louis. “That gives us a month to be ready and attempt St. Louis fully prepared.”Said Tom “The engine was damaged more than we expected when the oil pump  belt was knocked off. We are now preparing a new engine that should be ready in time for the Saint Louis race.” The 5th of 24 NASCAR Craftsman Truck events will be in DarlingtonSC.
