KEN SCHRADER, NO. 36 M&M'S PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
(ON POSTING A SOLID QUALIFYING RUN) "We just kept working on feel, feel, feel in practice, and we got it to where it felt better. Then we put the stickers on for qualifying and knew it had some left in it. We just had to go get it."
(HOW DO YOU LIKE THE TIRES THIS YEAR?) "I like these tires. I like these tires a lot better. There were times that it seemed like the tires were so good that you could just get close and then lay on the tires. I don't like that. These tires are really good, but they don't feel like they're stuck so tight that you can do anything."
(HOW MUCH DID YOUR EIGHTH PLACE RUN AT ATLANTA THREE WEEKS AGO HELP PREPARE YOU FOR TEXAS?) "I've struggled the last couple years at Atlanta and here. But when I came out of the motorhome today I was pumped up and ready to go. Coming here with the right attitude means a lot. Newt [Moore] brought a different car, but this is the one he wanted to bring. We ran good at Atlanta and knew we could here."
