ADDITIONAL SPONSORSHIP TO PRO SPEC RACER
ENGLEWOOD, Colo.-SCCA Pro Racing Ltd. has announced three more associate sponsorships for the 2001 Pro Spec Racer campaign. Derhaag Motorsports, KML Racing, Inc. and Great Expectations will support the Pro Spec Racer through award sponsorship and contingency awards.
Derhaag Motorsports returns in 2001 to sponsor the "Pro Spec Racer Rookie of the Year Award," presented to the top rookie driver in the season-ending point standings. Derhaag will award the winner a trophy along with a check for $1,000. A rookie is classified as a driver that has not run in more than three Pro Spec Racer events in any one season and no more than five Pro Spec Racer races in a career.
KML Racing, Inc. will present the "KML Greased Lightning Award," given to the most progressive driver of the race.
Finally, Great Expectations, the nationwide dating service, has returned to sponsor the "Most Improved Driver Award." This award is voted on by the Pro Spec Racer drivers and will be presented at season's end with a $1,000 bonus going to the winner.
