SANLUIS Rassini Expands Its Technological Capabilities

PLYMOUTH, Mich., March 29 SANLUIS Rassini, a subsidiary of
SANLUIS Corporacion, S.A. de C.V. (BMV: SANLUIS), a leading supplier to
original equipment manufacturers, today announced the grand opening of its
newly expanded Technical Center located in Plymouth, Michigan.
The SANLUIS Rassini Technical Center was established in 1992 to support
engineering, testing, R&D and commercial efforts to its clients and currently
employs a staff of over 45 engineering and professional personnel. To maintain
its position in the forefront of technology and increase its technical
capabilities to meet ever-expanding customer requirements, the Technical
Center finished a new stage of development with a two-year investment of over
$5 million in new testing equipment and software. The newly expanded Technical
Center allows SANLUIS Rassini to offer state-of-the-art, high-quality
technical and R&D service to its customers.
"The Technical Center expansion permits SANLUIS Rassini to grow with its
customers," said Bob Anderson, President of SANLUIS Rassini International.
"SANLUIS Rassini technological capabilities must be at the top of the
automotive industry's requirements."
SANLUIS Rassini offers electronic drawings in customers' native format,
which require workstations devoted exclusively to single CAD platforms such as
UNIGRAPHICS, I-DEAS and CATIA. To analyze components and new products for
future launching, SANLUIS Rassini uses ADAMS, design software that specializes
in simulating chassis and brakes. The company uses non-linear Finite Element
Analysis (FEA) software including ABAQUS, ANSYS, and I-DEAS. Also SANLUIS
Rassini uses Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software including Fluent to
optimize cooling capabilities of its brake rotors.
In addition, SANLUIS Rassini has high-tech testing labs which include
metrology and materials labs, geometric validation of chassis, simulation of
road conditions, a dynamometer for the evaluation of brakes, noise and
vibration measurement equipment, fatigue and corrosion testing, environmental
simulation and vehicle testing.
SANLUIS Rassini produces highly engineered components used in over 70
models of passenger cars, light-and medium-duty trucks and commercial
vehicles. With the expansion of its Technical Center, SANLUIS Rassini
continues to be at the forefront in technology, service and quality, and is
committed to meet the more sophisticated requirements of its customers.
