Canadian Bank Note Company -- A Canadian Printed Product in Every Malian Vehicle

    OTTAWA--March 29, 2001--

Mali is a country in West Africa with almost 11 million inhabitants. The country's cars, trucks and other motorized vehicles are imported from different countries, but all of them will now have something in common: a holographic tax decal supplied by Canadian Bank Note Company (CBN).
According to Stephen Dopp, CBN's Sales Director for the area, the customer is extremely satisfied with the tax decals. "Our customer has congratulated us on the product we designed and supplied and we hope that the new product will encourage local vehicle operators to go to their tax office and obtain their 2001vehicle tax decals," said a jovial Dopp.
Canadian Bank Note Company has been established in the Malian market for several years. It designed and printed the new passports for Mali and installed the modern passport issuing system that utilizes digital personalization technology. CBN has also printed sales tax stickers for Mali since 1998.

Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol CBK.
