Detroit Translation Bureau Partners With Praetorius, Ltd., a UK Translation Firm, to Form Consortium of Automotive Translation Suppliers
TROY, Mich.--March 29, 2001--Detroit Translation Bureau has entered into an agreement with Praetorius Limited of Nottingham, England to form the Consortium of Automotive Translation Suppliers to meet the growing demands of the automotive industry.The move is in response to rapidly increasing translation needs in the automotive industry due to globalization. The consortium will be the world's leading pool of expertise in automotive translation.
Both Detroit Translation Bureau and Praetorius earn a high percentage of their income by serving the automotive industry and provide translation and terminology services for the major automotive car companies. Each has over 15 years' of experience in the automotive field.
In addition, both companies have a proven track record of taking a leading role in the automotive industry. Rick Woyde, President & Chief Executive Officer of Detroit Translation Bureau, chairs the SAE's J2450 committee developing a Translation Quality Metric to evaluate translation quality of Service Information.
Praetorius Managing Director Geoffrey Kingscott acts as a member of the organizing committee for the TOPTEC conference series, the world's leading forum on multilingual documentation for the automotive industry. The series is organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). The next conference in this series will be held in Paris in October 2001 in conjunction with the Paris Motor Show.

Discussions are being held with companies in Canada, Mexico and Asia with a view to extending the consortium worldwide.
