Cohesia Corporation to Adapt IntelliDoc e-Specification Solution For the Supply Chain

DAYTON, Ohio--March 29, 2001--Cohesia Corporation announced today that it will restructure its operations to more quickly adapt the IntelliDoc(R) e-Specification solution for use in the aerospace and automotive supply chain.
Current methods of communicating product requirements are still paper based and open to interpretation and error at every level of the supply chain. In order to improve quality and leverage the efficiencies available through e-commerce, manufacturers have recognized that they must improve their ability to integrate internal manufacturing and quality programs with those of their suppliers. IntelliDoc's ability to capture and combine ambiguous and often conflicting product requirements into a single document readable by both computers and people represents a unique solution to this problem.
"We have been working for several months to restructure our sales and marketing efforts away from the Steel industry," said Dan Sokol, founder and CEO of Cohesia Corporation. "The response within the aerospace industry has been gratifying with the addition of a major customer and the recent completion of a $16 million funding round."
"However, it has become increasingly clear that the difficult financial markets will continue and that we must accelerate our product development efforts to maintain our lead," Sokol stated. "This effort will require a significant reallocation of resources to increase the speed with which we are able to bring products to market while providing the functionality that our partners and customers need." Furthermore, Cohesia product development resources will be increased over the next several months in order to meet aggressive time-to-market goals.
The restructuring will result in the elimination of 19 positions not directly related to product development. The company has offered severance packages and outplacement assistance to those employees directly affected.
