Cintas Division Fashions Award-Winning Career Apparel

Uniforms To You outfits several 'Image of the Year' winners

NEW YORK, March 28 Cintas Corporation and
Uniforms To You know that image is everything, and the designs of Cintas'
Uniforms To You division have earned top honors in the Career Apparel
Institute's 2001 Image of the Year Awards.
Chicago-based Uniforms To You (UTY), a division of Cintas Corporation,
dressed three of the "Top 10" Image of the Year Award winners for 2001.
Honorees Avis Rent-a-Car, Mandarin Hotel, and Aladdin Hotel and Casino
received the uniform industry's highest honor at a ceremony held March 24 in
Las Vegas. The Career Apparel Institute, a division of the National
Association of Uniform Manufacturers and Distributors (NAUMD) produces the
national competition.
"We are thrilled that the NAUMD once again has recognized the designs
Uniforms To You created for our clients," said Steve Cochran, vice president
of marketing for Cintas' Uniforms To You division. "What makes this even more
of an honor is the fact that we know our fashionable, functional uniform
programs are accomplishing their goal -- helping companies build image,
professionalism and a sense of pride."
Cintas' Uniforms To You division created winning designs for:

    * Avis Rent-a-Car. Avis prides itself on maintaining the customer's
traditional business image, and wanted a uniform program that would
preserve that image while integrating contemporary flair. The program
highlights Avis' signature color - red. The red is set off with
charcoal gray and grayish-white fine lines. Blouses and dress shirts
are detailed with tone-on tone texture and the lines are clean and
      simple.

    * The Mandarin Hotel, a first-class luxury hotel. In choosing a uniform
program, the Mandarin had one goal in mind -- to establish a unique,
signature look in the Miami hospitality market. They have achieved that
goal with a UTY design that blends Asian minimalism with Latin style.
Uniforms are simple and clean cut, with Asian-inspired fly front
closures containing no buttons, and the asymmetrical lines of the
      clothing echo the building's architecture.

    * The Aladdin Hotel, an imaginative, thematic resort with design elements
incorporated from the Aladdin legend. The hotel wanted a uniform
program that captured the same excitement and allure. The UTY designs
are filled with vibrant colors accented with antique gold and copper.
Uniforms convey a storybook theme, yet are practical, functional and
contemporary. Most uniforms are designed with subtle elegance,
incorporating a few key thematic elements without over-embellishing.

"In today's competitive business climate, it is essential to project a
strong and positive corporate identify," said NAUMD's executive director,
Bernard J. Lepper. "Frequently, first impressions are lasting impressions.
One of the best ways to communicate competency, professionalism and company
pride is through employee appearance. Employees wearing career apparel
radiate professionalism and provide easy identification. As a result,
customers feel more confident that their needs are being met by an
organization of trained, competent employees."
The Image of the Year Awards honor end-users and suppliers who have
effectively used career apparel programs to project a desired image or meet a
stated goal. Companies are judged on the basis of image projection, neatness,
functionality, use of color, originality and coordination of garments with
accessories.
