Amerigon Grants Asian Manufacturing Rights for Climate Control Seat(TM) (CCS(TM)) to Tokyo-Based Ferrotec Corporation

    IRWINDALE, Calif., March 28 Amerigon Incorporated
today announced that it has entered into a ten-year agreement
with Tokyo-based Ferrotec Corporation (Japan: 6890) granting Ferrotec the
exclusive manufacturing rights for Amerigon's proprietary Climate Control
Seat(TM) (CCS(TM)) system in Asia.  Under the terms of the agreement, Amerigon
will receive a lump sum cash payment of $2 million for the manufacturing
rights, plus $1 million from the sale to Ferrotec of 200,000 shares of the
Company's common stock, which at a price of $5.00 per share is a premium to
the current market price.
    Ferrotec, one of the world's leading developers and manufacturers of
thermoelectric devices, currently manufactures the thermoelectric modules used
by Amerigon in CCS.  It has manufacturing plants in Asia, Europe and the U.S.
Ferrotec's U.S. operations are headquartered in Nashua, New Hampshire.

strong market position in the expanding Asian market and to help establish CCS
as an automotive standard."
