March 28, 2001APOLLO, PA – Stock car racing fans are always eager for racing news and rumors. Fans of ASA, Ryan Hemphill, and Hemphill Racing are no different. Now, those fans can get their news and help their favorite driver at the same time.
StockCarFans.com, the brainchild of Kentucky's Von Hall and Tennessee's Mike Irwin, has come to an agreement with Hemphill Racing to become a partner in the No. 02 Argo Packing Chevrolet. The organization will have a decal displayed on the team's black ASA ACDelco Series car beginning with the team's next race at the Montgomery Motor Speedway.
"ASA Racing is one of the most competitive racing series in the nation," said SCF co-founder Hall. "We are confident that Ryan will soon be at the top of its ranks and are proud to be on board."
"We are excited about the opportunity to be associated with and help a new up-and-coming driver like Ryan," stated the editor of SCF's primary newsletter, Mike Irwin. "Ryan shows a lot of talent and I'm looking forward to watching him progress in each race as he learns and grows as a driver".
The partnership was a win-win situation for Hemphill Racing and SCF. ASA creates millions of impressions per year, and SCF reaches thousands every day through their website and newsletters. Searching for sponsorship for 2001, SCF offered the team an avenue of possibilities that few others could offer which went hand-in-hand with the team's own sponsorship hunting efforts.
"It's wonderful to have StockCarFans.com on board. Hopefully, we can help promote them as much as possible. They're wonderful people to work with and I'm sure they'll help us just as much as we will them," replied Ryan Hemphill, driver of the No. 02 Vortec-powered Chevrolet.
StockCarFans.Com publishes five free motorsports newsletters, delivered to subscribers via e-mail. They offer newsletters for Winston Cup (also including ASA and ARCA), Busch Grand National (North and South), Craftsman Truck, motorsports headlines, and various forms of dirt track racing.
