S&P Affirms Corp Backed Trust Certificates Ser 2001-9

    NEW YORK--Standard & Poor's--March 27, 2001--Standard & Poor's today affirmed its single-'A'-minus rating on the corporate-backed trust certificates series 2001-9 issued by Corporate Backed Trust Certificates Series 2001-9 Trust.
    The affirmation follows the issuance of an additional 216,372 certificates with an initial aggregate certificate principal amount of $5,409,300.
    The rating reflects the credit quality of two underlying capital securities issued by DaimlerChrysler Corp. (formerly, Chrysler Corp.): $38,117,000, 7.45% debentures due Feb. 1, 2097; and $75,610,000, 7.40% debentures due Aug. 1, 2097.
