MSC.Software and FIAT Extend World-Wide Agreement; European Automaker to Automate Entire Product Design Process with MSC.Software
Business EditorsLOS ANGELES--March 27, 2001--MSC.Software Corp. , an established information technology software and services provider helping companies worldwide develop better products faster, announced today an extension of its world-wide corporate agreement with FIAT.
FIAT will begin to implement MSC.Software's Automatic Process Solution, with which it will automate its product design and simulation process. In extending this agreement, FIAT subsidiaries have chosen MSC.Software over other simulation design products and services.

FIAT has installed more than 200 MSC.Nastran, MSC.Marc and MSC.Patran software products in international FIAT-owned companies to design its product line -- from economical compact cars to top level ones (such as Ferrari and Maserati). These companies include FIAT Auto, Ferrari F1, Ferrari Cars, Maserati, Iveco, Case New Holland, FIAT Avio, Magneti Marelli, Comau, Centro Ricerche FIAT, Elasis, ITS.
In the last three years, FIAT has increased by more than 20 percent the number of licenses it has for MSC.Software's applications. In addition, FIAT has chosen MSC.Software's Engineering Services to provide FIAT subsidiaries with more than 10,000 consulting hours per year.
