    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., March 26 Federal-Mogul Corporation's
Sealing Systems manufacturing facility in Port Elizabeth, South
Africa, received Ford Motor Company's Silver World Excellence Award,
recognizing the plant as one of Ford's top suppliers in the world for 2000
performance.

purchasing and South America said, "Congratulations to Federal-Mogul. You are
one of Ford's most valuable assets. Without your extraordinary contributions,
we could not have achieved many of our goals in 2000."

out in quality and delivery or quality and cost; Eight suppliers won the
Silver Award.

"This is a great honor for Federal-Mogul and for the employees of the Port
Elizabeth operation, who have worked hard for many years to achieve superior
levels of quality and delivery performance," said J.C. de Villiers, managing
director of Federal-Mogul Sealing Systems in South Africa.
