IMPCO/State of Mexico/World Bank Announce Financing
Agreement
* IMPCO to support conversions of Mexico taxi fleets to alternative fuels
* Over $1 billion potential market in Mexico for fleets, taxis and buses
CERRITOS, Calif., March 26 IMPCO Technologies, Inc.,
is the World's leading source of advanced alternative fuel
systems technology and components for internal combustion engines today
announced that the company has reached an agreement in principle with American
Capital Partners, a Mexican Merchant Bank, whereby lease financing for the
purchase of new certified alternative fuel powered taxies will be provided.
Other partners in this consortium include various General Motors dealers,
Banobras (The domestic development bank of the United Mexican States), and
Dina Leasing.
Mr. Dennis Hartman, Vice President and General Manager of the Gaseous Fuel
Products Division (GFPD) located in Cerritos, California, said, "This major
initiative is designed to assist the responsible State governmental
authorities in achieving their environmental policies and objectives.
Additionally, it will provide the taxi owner industry with significant fuel
and operating cost savings versus conventional fuels such as gasoline or
diesel."
Mr. Hartman continued, "IMPCO began investing in Mexico City over two
years ago in terms of capital investment, human resources and technical
leadership. The investment is directed at bringing about responsible,
long-term environmental solutions to Mexico City's air quality issues. This
agreement is the result of activities and efforts between IMPCO and the
government of Mexico. We are very proud to be part of this historic program."

business model for assisting the Mexican consumer in transitioning to
alternative fuel powered vehicles, we also now have a model which we will
aggressively move into all emerging alternative fuel markets in Central and
South America," Mr. Hartman noted.
Mexico City was once known as having the worst air quality in the world.
Efforts like these are ensuring the city continuously improves its air quality
in a sustainable manner.
