RYAN NEWMAN-02-ALLTEL Ford Taurus (Finished 6th) - "That's not bad. We got shuffled back there for a little bit, got caught behind some lapped cars. The crew kept working hard, we had good pit stops all day. I just have to thank Roger Penske and Don Miller for giving me the chance and owning the thing."

WHAT ABOUT ALL THE LAPPED TRAFFIC? "Everybody pretty much stayed out of the way at the end and I guess that's the typical Bristol. You're going to have cars that can't go as fast as others because they get involved in short-track accidents, that's about all there is. Now we head to Texas next week where we're taking the same car we had at Atlanta. It's got one race on it and it set the track record there, and we had a really good test there."

DO YOU THINK YOU'LL BE BETTER HERE IN THE FALL? "Absolutely, I learned a lot today. I know that we'll be back here better than we were today. It's one thing to test at these tracks, but getting laps with 42 other cars really accelerates the learning curve."
