ALMS: Wollek funeral set for Friday, March 30 in France

-Wollek’s final journey to take place at church where “Brilliant Bob” was christened-

ATLANTA, Georgia - – Bob Wollek, of Strasbourg, France, who died on March 16 in a non-racing traffic accident in Sebring, Florida, will be laid to rest on Friday, March 30, in Klingenthal, France – at the church where he was christened 57 years ag o.

Wollek, one of the greatest sports car racers ever, lost his life in Sebring when he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle on a road outside the track.

The memorial service and funeral will take place on Friday, March 30, at 2:30 PM local time at the Protestant church in the center of town of Klingenthal (the church has no name – it is the only church in the middle of this small town).
