Reminder to Car Seat Users of Best Practices When Adjusting Harnesses

OAKVILLE, Ontario--March 22, 2001--Evenflo Canada, Inc. wishes to remind users of the On My Way Position Right V infant car seat, model number 211, of the proper and easiest method of adjusting the harness, which secures their child in the seat. Always pull the loose end of the strap directly away from the back of the car seat. This is the easiest way to adjust the harness. Never pull the loose end of the strap up toward the top of the car seat. Pulling up on the strap makes it harder to adjust and can damage the plastic adjuster guide.
The proper adjustment procedure is also included with the instructions provided with your car seat. Evenflo has become aware that some caregivers have encountered difficulty trying to properly adjust the harnesses on the On My Way Position Right V car seats. A properly adjusted harness helps to assure the safety of your child in the event of a crash.
Evenflo urges you to review the instruction booklet for proper overall use of your Evenflo car seat. If you have experienced any difficulties with the harness or plastic adjuster guide, need replacement instructions, or have any questions regarding car seat usage, please contact Evenflo's Parent Link Consumer Resource Center at 800-233-5921 or visit us at www.evenflo.com. The model number can be found on a label on the back of the seat. These seats, as all Evenflo car seats, meet or exceed all applicable Canadian safety standards.
