CarMax to Host Conference Call on Growth Plans

    RICHMOND, Va., March 22 The CarMax Group will
host a conference call on Monday, March 26, 2001, at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time
to discuss the details of its growth plan and provide updated store economics
for its used-car superstore prototypes.
    W. Austin Ligon, president of CarMax, will host the call.  W. Alan
McCollough, president and chief executive officer of Circuit City Stores,
Inc., also will participate.
    The call will be simultaneously Webcast on the CarMax investor Web site at
http://investor.CarMax.com and on the Circuit City investor Web site,
http://investor.CircuitCity.com .  Domestic investors may access the call at
