ArvinMeritor Awarded its First Commercial
Vehicle Contract; Reaffirms Merger's Success
LOUISVILLE, Ky., March 21 ArvinMeritor today
announced that it has been awarded its first commercial vehicle contract for
the development and supply of a full exhaust system for a major European
commercial truck manufacturer. Identified as a new revenue synergy during the
merger integration process, the agreement demonstrates the company's ability
to leverage its proven light vehicle emissions technology solutions into the
commercial market.
The agreement forecasts 35,000 full exhaust systems for a European light
transport truck (3.5 tons) to begin production in 2002.
