GenCorp to Web Cast First Quarter Earnings Results

    SACRAMENTO, Calif., March 21 GenCorp announced
that its analyst conference call for first quarter 2001 earnings will be
broadcast live on the Internet and will be accessible to the public from the
Company's Web site (http://www.gencorp.com) at 11 a.m. (PST) on
March 29, 2001.  The Company will release earnings after the close of markets
on March 28, 2001.

    The broadcast is anticipated to be about one hour in length.  Participants
will be in a listen mode only and must have RealPlayer software loaded onto
their computers for access.  The conference call audio broadcast will not be
archived, but will be available for replay through April 3, 2001.

GenCorp Web site and simply follow the instructions provided there.
