received Ford Motor Company's World Excellence Award for Recognition of
Achievement in Warranty Reduction, recognizing the company as one of its top
suppliers in the world for 2000 performance.

The World Excellence Award provides annual recognition based on quality,
cost and delivery metrics jointly developed by Ford and its suppliers.
Siemens Automotive was one of 38 suppliers from 14 countries to win awards in
various categories.

"Congratulations to Siemens Automotive," said Carlos Mazzorin, Ford Motor
Company's Group Vice President of Global Purchasing and South America. "You
are one of Ford's most valuable assets. Without your extraordinary

Achievement was given to 13 suppliers impacting customer satisfaction by
leading Ford key initiatives: High Mileage Improvement, Warranty Reduction,
Environmental Leadership and Consumer Focused Technology.

"Siemens Automotive is proud to be one of four Ford suppliers to earn a
Recognition of Achievements award for Warranty Reduction," said Siemens
Automotive President and CEO John Sanderson. "It is an honor to have helped
Ford Motor Company reach its goals for 2000. We look forward to the
opportunity to assist them this year and beyond."

In a ceremony at the Detroit Opera House, the World Excellence Awards were
presented for the third year. The winners and about 160 of Ford's largest
production and non-production suppliers attended the event. Lights, music and
videos were geared to the event's theme of "energizing" suppliers. The event
also was Webcast to the winning suppliers and to Ford employees globally.
