Gehl To Unveil New Skid Loader Models At European Exhibition; New Machines Will be the Largest Skid Loaders in the Industry
WEST BEND, Wis.--March 20, 2001--Gehl Company , the Wisconsin, USA-based manufacturer of light construction and agricultural equipment, announced it will unveil an all-new high capacity, high horsepower skid loader, and also, new compact-sized skid loaders at BAUMA, in Munich, Germany. BAUMA, the International World's Fair of Construction Equipment, will be held April 2-8, at the Munich Trade Fair Center. Gehl Company, in conjunction with its associate company, Gehl GmbH of Neuenkirchen, Germany, which distributes skid loaders and mini-excavators throughout Europe, will formally introduce these new skid loader models to the European market at this exhibition.The new large machine, the model SL7800, will offer end-users the highest rated operating load - 3600 lbs. (1633 kg), the highest lift height - nearly 12 feet (3.6 m), and the highest engine power - 110 hp (82 kW) turbo-charged diesel, of any skid loader models in the industry. This new model specifically targets the market trend toward larger machines with more job site versatility and performance range. Additionally, this loader provides travel speeds to 14 mph (22.5 km/h) with a two-speed drive system. Its high capacity hydraulic system will produce 40 gpm (151 L/min) auxiliary hydraulic flow to power a wide variety of attachments. A new large ROPS/FOPS operator's compartment adds to overall operator comfort and convenience.
The second new Gehl series of loaders features the models SL3635 SX and SL3935 SX. The loaders provide 1,050 lbs. (476 kg) and 1,260 lbs. (572 kg) rated operating loads respectively. Both offer new compact designs with 36 hp (27 kW) diesel engines. In addition, the models feature the Gehl exclusive Powerview(R) lift arm design, and industry-compatible quick-attach mounting system to accommodate a full range of attachments. The loaders also incorporate a new operator's compartment, which provides operators with more head, shoulder, and leg room for maximum operator comfort and confidence.
