Dean Zakos Promoted to Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Modine

    RACINE, Wis.--March 19, 2001--Modine has promoted Dean R. Zakos to the position of vice president, general counsel and secretary. He succeeds Walter E. Pavlick, who will be retiring from Modine after 21 years of service. Zakos will report to Donald R. Johnson, president and CEO at Modine.
    Zakos has been with Modine for 18 years. He joined Modine as counsel in 1982 and was named associate general counsel and assistant secretary in January 1992. Prior to joining Modine, he served as a staff attorney with the Jos. Schlitz Brewing Company in Milwaukee and, prior to that, he maintained a private law practice. Zakos has a B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a law degree from Marquette University Law School.
    Zakos is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, a member and former president of the Wisconsin chapter of the American Corporate Counsel Association, and a former president and director of the Racine Family YMCA.
