Roll & Hold Warehousing & Distribution Announces Management Restructure To Facilitate Expanded Growth
HOMEWOOD, Ill.--March 15, 2001--Roll & Hold Warehousing & Distribution Corp. announces a management restructuring with the appointment of W. Kent Robbins as vice president and the addition of William M. Edwards as general manager.
The restructuring comes as a result of Roll & Hold's tremendous growth over the last several years, coupled with an aggressive plan to identify and implement new business initiatives.
Robbins, who held the position of vice president and general manager for the last decade will be responsible for geographic expansion, broadening the scope of services, and the establishment of partnerships and alliances to build the business. Edwards will take over the responsibilities of general manager, reporting to Robbins, and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations at Roll Hold's 10 facilities.
Edwards has extensive experience in operations, marketing, purchasing, materials management, strategic planning, and technology implementation gained from 25 years in the steel industry. He has worked in the mill and service center sectors, and, most recently, led an entrepreneurial venture to commercialize a new invention in the metal stamping industry.
Robbins has been with ADS since the mid-`70s, was co-creator of the metals warehousing concept that opened under the Roll & Hold banner, and has headed the organization since its inception in 1984.
"Roll & Hold has always attempted to stay one-step ahead of our customers by anticipating their needs, as evidenced by our recent alliance with Flat Rock Metals to provide in-house processing services," states W. Kent Robbins, vice president. "Our growth plans require that we add management resources to our already strong team. We are fortunate to add an individual with Bill's background and strengths."
