ARCA RE/MAX: Loctite sponsors ARCA Halfway Lap Leader Award

TOLEDO, OHIO, 3-16-01 – ARCA officials, in conjunction with Loctite, have announced a one year agreement in which Loctite will be the Official Halfway Lap Leader Award sponsor in all ARCA RE/MAX Series events.
The award, to be officially recognized as the Loctite Halfway Lap Leader Award, will provide $1,000 to the race leader at the halfway point on superspeedways and $500 on short-tracks. In the event the caution flag is out halfway into the race, the driver who leads the fifth consecutive green flag lap thereafter will receive the cash award.
“We’re honored to be recognized with the ARCA RE/MAX Series,” said Loctite Vice President and General Manager Gus Kontonickas. “It’s a great way to get our name in front of thousands and thousands of fans and customers while being associated with a highly-respected sanctioning body. It’s been well documented that race fans are the most loyal in regards to the associated services and products involved with motorsports. ARCA has been around for a half century, and they’ve built up quite a fan base through the years, and all that considered, it makes sense for us to be there.”
The Loctite Halfway Leader Award program also includes a $100,000 Loctite Product Package program to be distributed among RE/MAX Series teams throughout the year as well as a $10,000 year-end cash award to the driver who earns the most Loctite Halfway Leader Awards throughout the season.
