SEBRING, Fla.- Pierre Kleinubing, of Erexim, Brazil, headed up the SCCA Pro Racing Speedvision World Challenge Touring Car Championship qualifying session to take the Exxon Superflo 12 Hours of Sebring Weekend Superchips Pole for Friday's second round race. Will Turner, of Newburyport, Mass., was second, followed by Steve Pfeffer, of Scottsdale, Ariz.

Driving the No. 1 RealTime Racing Acura Integra R, Kleinubing set a lap of 2:32.066 (87.593 mph) early in the qualifying session and held on to take his 18th-career pole, which ranks second all-time.

"The car pushed a little bit but it responded the way we expected," said Touring Car Defending Champion Kleinubing. "I think the rest of the field was sandbagging a little and not showing us what they really had. But the car is good, and I know because I've been in this seat for five years."

Turner, driving the No. 92 Turner Motorsport/H&R Springs BMW 328is, was just 0.588-second behind, with a lap of 2:32.654, followed by Round One winner Steve Pfeffer's No. 26 John Hancock/JJ's Snacks BMW 328is.

Neal Sapp, of Ellicott City, Md., and Alfred duPont, of Kennett Square, Pa., completed the top five.
