ENGLEWOOD, Colo.-SCCA Pro Racing Ltd. has finalized two dates on its 2001 Pro Spec Racer schedule. The third stop on the schedule has been confirmed as a return to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course June 8-9 in a pairing with Grand-Am, while the eighth stop out of 11 on the Pro Spec Racer tour will feature the series at the Lunken Runway Enduro 2001.

The Lunken Runway Enduro, held August 18-19, features two full days of SCCA road racing. The race will take place on a temporary 2.28-mile, eight-turn circuit, using the runways and taxiways of Cincinnati Municipal Lunken Airport.

"We are pleased to announce the addition of the Lunken Runway Enduro in Cincinnati to the 2001 Pro Spec Racer schedule," said Bob Anderson, Pro Spec Racer Series Manager. "This is the inaugural event for the series in Cincinnati and we hope that, with the Lunken Race Committee, we can build the foundation for an annual event for years to come."

The new event will be promoted by the Lunken Race Committee, in conjunction with Cincinnati Region SCCA's partners; Cincinnati Municipal Lunken Airport, The Observation Deck and Clear Channel Communications. The Lunken Runway Enduro road racing weekend will bring the excitement of SCCA road racing to Cincinnati area racing fans for the very first time.

In addition to the confirmed dates, the series announced that Phoenix, Mosport, Daytona and San Diego will be televised on the Speedvision Network.

"The additions of Mid-Ohio and Cincinnati, along with the four televised events on Speedvision, will add up to the most high-profile Pro Spec Racer schedule to date," said Anderson.
