Jeff Green On Darlington: Jeff Green, 2000 NASCAR Busch Series Champion and driver of the No. 10 Nestlé Nesquik Ford Taurus, considers winning at the famed "Track too Tough to Tame," one of the biggest accomplishments in a driver's career.

"Darlington is really fun to race when your car is working well," said Green. "It isn't fun at all when you car isn't handling. The track isn't very wide and there isn't a lot of room for error. Handling is the most important factor in winning at Darlington because you have to race the race track, not the guy beside you. The track is more likely to put a black mark on your car than another car."

St. Patrick's Day at Darlington: The NASCAR Busch Series will race at Darlington this year on St. Patrick's Day. Since green is the holiday color of St. Patrick's Day, Green hopes that the l"Luck of the Irish" will fall his way on Saturday. While some competitors may carry a four leaf clover or a leprechaun for good luck, Green will continue to carry his own good luck charm, a green marble given to him in California last year when he took over the points lead. It has brought him good luck ever since and still continues to carry it.

Jeff Green 2001 Notables:

  • · Currently, Green has the highest averaging finish in 2001 at 5.25.

Equipment: The Nesquik Racing team is taking car number 8 to Darlington. The car is brand new to the Nesquik Racing team and only has one race under it's belt. It competed earlier this year at Rockingham where it finished eighth.
