Schrader's Thoughts On Darlington...
"Last week I said that Atlanta would be a test for the team with Newt Moore as our new crew chief. I think we passed with flying colors. Newt is a leader, he makes the right calls and he seems to really be clicking with the guys. The communication between Newt and I is important, but good communication between him and the guys on the team is critical. We got a little bit behind right at the start, but the car was good all day and we made the right changes to make it better. The pit crew was good all day and came through strong for us when we really needed it.
"I had fun racing Sunday and as soon as I got out of the car I was ready to go to Darlington. It's tricky, but I really like that place and I can't wait to get there."
Schrader's Darlington Highlights...
Last weekend at Atlanta was the debut of Newt Moore as crew chief of the No. 36 "M&M's"® Pontiac. The team had an outstanding day finishing eighth and moving up six positions to 10th in driver standings. The eighth-place effort also marked Schrader's best performance with the fifth-year team and hopefully shows signs of good things to come.
The "M&M's"® Pontiac the team will run in Darlington is the same car that finished 22nd at North Carolina Speedway in February. This is a new car for the "M&M's"® Racing Team, with Darlington being only the second start for the car.
