Johnson Matthey's Prepares to Offer Customers Online Sample Ordering

WAYNE, Pa., March 13 Johnson Matthey's Catalytic Systems
Division, a world leader in emission control, announces the roll-out of its
online ordering service for the company's samples business.

Johnson Matthey works closely with automotive industry giants in the
development of custom emission control components for new vehicles; catalyst
samples are integral to this development process. "In partnerships like ours,
it's critical to continue to evolve with the changing demands of business,"
remarks David Cetola, Vice President, Catalytic Systems Division North
America. "We recognized a need in the industry to reduce the turn-around time
from sample order to delivery to the automotive manufacturer, and we believe
this service will deliver a higher level of customer service than was ever
available before."

With online accessibility, automotive engineers will have 24 hour
ordering, tracking, and reporting capability. "Each of these samples is
unique and it was important to build a system that allows the engineers the
flexibility to customize the product without affecting delivery," explains Bob
Kramer, Director of Information Technology. "The system streamlines the order
process eliminating redundancy and providing opportunities for improving
communication and efficiency."

Johnson Matthey continues to be at the forefront of emissions control
technology development. "Our relationships with our technology partners are
critical to our future. We are committed to providing a level of service that
sets us apart from our competitors. We are beginning with samples, but we see
tremendous potential for utilization in other areas of our business," adds
Cetola.
