Visteon's MACH MP3 System Makes In-Car CD Switching A Thing
of the Past
DEARBORN, Mich., March 13 In the past, getting ready for a
road trip involved filling a CD binder with stacks of your favorite discs, but
now thanks to Visteon Corporation's new MACH(R) MP3 Music System
you can forget that extra piece of baggage. This exciting new product offers
consumers the convenience of 10 hours of personalized music on one CD.
This system combines compressed file playback technology and efficient
memory storage to create truly flexible audio, capable of downloading data and
integrating all sources of audio use for the home and in the vehicle.
"Visteon's consumer-focused multimedia products, like the MACH(R) MP3
Music System, continue to make travel more enjoyable," said Rick Meyer,
General Manager of Visteon's North American Aftermarket Operations. "The
MACH(R) MP3 Music System demonstrates Visteon's commitment to providing
consumers new, leading-edge products that have user-friendly features."
The compact player's memory capacity of 650 megabytes allows a driver to
create a personalized CD with up to 10 hours of music.
While in the play mode, the system, equipped with an anti-shock feature,
allows the selection of individual songs as well as fast forward and shuffle
modes. The unique "Fast Track" feature enables a listener to quickly scan the
10 hours of music by pushing the track button and toggling the volume control
button. And while some systems may only have a shuffle feature within each
folder, Visteon's MACH(R) MP3 Music System features a full-disc shuffle.
The system, which also can play regular music CDs, comes in five different
"skins" to provide consumers with a personalized, unique look. The system is
easy to install, and could be done in a matter of minutes.
