Automotive Suppliers Can Survive the Squeeze with Eclipz from
Synapz
NORTHVILLE, Mich., March 13 As automotive suppliers
continue to struggle with a cutthroat environment, limited IT budgets and
greater demands for proven solutions, being e-connected is more crucial than
ever. Generating a proven three-month return on investment (ROI), a 10
percent to 15 percent reduction in inventory carrying costs and $9,000 per
month savings in premium freight per location, Eclipz can be the answer to
suppliers' cost-cutting nightmares.
Eclipz -- from Northville, Mich.-based Synapz -- is a Web-based materials
procurement and fulfillment system for automotive suppliers and their
thousands of sub-tier suppliers.
"Suppliers using the Eclipz product are generating dramatic results; they
are up and running in 60 days and gaining ROI immediately," said Bob Paul,
president and COO of Synapz, a leading e-commerce solution provider serving
the automotive market. "Any supplier, regardless of size, now has access to
the same technology that was once too costly and complex to implement, and is
receiving accurate information in an expedient manner."
Uni Boring, Inc., a Synapz customer located in Howell, Mich., has found
that Eclipz simplifies supply-chain communication and is both an effective and
economical method to exchange production and planning requirements with its
suppliers.
Paul said a supplier that uses Eclipz and has $1 million of raw material
inventory, for example, can save: $125,000 in inventory costs; $9,000 in
premium freight charges; $10,000 in unplanned changeovers; and $32,000 in
productivity expenses.
Currently, Synapz has nine first-tier automotive suppliers -- and a total
of 784 of their suppliers -- utilizing the company's Eclipz product.
"Our suppliers adopted Eclipz within weeks compared to the years wrangling
with traditional EDI," said Chuck Mick, CIM Director of Uni Boring. "Eclipz
is providing significant benefits resulting in cost reductions and a quick
ROI; it is transforming our business processes."
