CADalog Streamlines Site; Adds New Services; Launches 3D Membership Campaign
BELLINGHAM, Wash.--March 12, 2001--CADalog.com announced today that its popular CAD shareware and information Web site has an all-new design featuring frameless pages, easier navigation tools and smaller image files for improved loading speed.For features free to all site visitors, CADalog has added a Related Links page where anyone can enter a URL link and description for a service offering or Web site. An addition to the very popular Shareware center gives CADalog members access to the source code of the freeware programs listed in the Uniquely CADalog category.
For CADalog's site re-design, hundreds of frequent users took part in a beta test over two months. The testers were asked to determine whether the new features in the site made access significantly easier. The results showed overwhelming approval of the new design.
Membership Promotion Through April
CADalog.com has also launched a 3D Membership promotional campaign for its 3D online parts library. Lifetime membership is available for $20 through April 30, 2001. The library is one of the largest and easiest to use on the market, containing over two million mechanical parts. As many as 200,000 parts are added each month. Other recent additions to the site include 2D and 3D parts libraries from SKF, THK and Thomson as well as support for over four industry standards and 40 manufacturers.
