Jaguar Sponsors Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Performance at the Music Center, Performing Arts Center Los Angeles County

    IRVINE, Calif., March 12 Southern California Jaguar
retailers are this year's official automotive sponsor of the Music Center's
presentation of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.  The gala opening night
performance will be held March 14 and the performance will run until March 18.
    "Jaguar is proud to be this year's official automotive sponsor of the
performances of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at the Music Center,"
comments Doug Speck, Western Regional manager for Jaguar North America. "This
was an excellent opportunity to support the arts in the community which will
soon be home to Jaguar's new corporate headquarters."
    Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater has performed for an estimated 19
million people in 48 states and in 68 countries on six continents.  The
company has earned a reputation as one of the most acclaimed international
ambassadors of American culture, promoting the uniqueness of black cultural
expression and the preservation and enrichment of the American modern dance
heritage.
    Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will showcase a one-week engagement
with six performances at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion at the Music Center.
