             Manchester, N.H.-Area Land Rover 'Centre' Will Sell
                       Land Rover Vehicles Exclusively

    BEDFORD, N.H., March 9 Purchasing the world's most
prestigious sport-utility vehicle just became easier in the Manchester, N.H.
area with the opening of Land Rover Bedford, one of the newest Land Rover
retail outlets in the U.S.  Land Rover Bedford opened for business yesterday.
This new auto retailer is one of 130 U.S.-based Land Rover retail outlets and
is the 87th of Land Rover's critically acclaimed, exclusive facilities known
as Centres.  Land Rover Bedford will market Land Rover's British-built Range
Rover and Discovery Series II four-wheel drive vehicles, along with the
immensely popular Certified Pre-Owned Land Rovers.  The retailer will also
begin selling Land Rover's Freelander model, a small, premium sport-utility
vehicle, when it becomes available in the U.S. for the first time later this
year.  Freelander is currently Europe's best-selling sport-utility vehicle.

just over five acres of land.  The property includes a distinctive 13,000-
square-foot showroom and service facility and a special off-road Demonstration
Course that is designed to let potential customers experience for themselves
the remarkable off-road capabilities offered by Land Rover's four-wheel drive
vehicles.  All Land Rover Centres are built to resemble ski lodges or hunt
clubs, and are designed to convey the deep sense of outdoor adventure that's

    The Land Rover Bedford staff includes Centre Manager Michael Healey as
well as six parts and service representatives, an administrative person and
four Sales Guides.  All staff members are sport-utility experts and four-wheel
