ARCA RE/MAX Series release, Pork sponsorship

NATIONAL PORK PRODUCERS; OFFICIAL MEAT PRODUCT OF ARCA For Immediate Release

TOLEDO, OHIO, 3-9-01 – Officials of ARCA, along with the National Pork Producers Council, have announced a three-year agreement that will recognize Pork ‘the other white meat’ as the official meat product of the ARCA RE/MAX Series.

The program also includes the National Pork Producers Pole-Win Award, which accumulates by an amount of $500 per race, and is to be paid to any driver who wins the pole as well as the race in the same event.

“We’re certainly finding out that the ARCA RE/MAX Series is the perfect place to promote our product, and further maximize and customize retail and food service promotions centered around the racing events,” said Assistant Vice President of Marketing for Demand Enhancement John Hagerla. “We have also come to understand that the RE/MAX Series, which has been around for 49 years, carries a great deal of respect within the motorsports community and has an extremely loyal fan base. And of course, that fan base reaches far and wide, which serves up an excellent opportunity to get our message out there.”

In addition to the National Pork Producers Pole-Win Award, the RE/MAX Series champion will receive an additional $5,000 cash in year-end awards. The National Pork Producers Council is also an associate sponsor for defending RE/MAX Series champion Frank Kimmel.
