Synapz's Alderson Receives DISA's Edward A. Guilbert EDI Professional Award

    NORTHVILLE, Mich., March 9 Jessie W. Alderson, director of
industrial technology for Synapz -- a leading e-commerce solution provider
serving the automotive market -- has been honored with the Data Interchange
Standards Association's (DISA) prestigious Edward A. Guilbert Electronic Data
Interchange (EDI) Professional Award.
    The award was presented to Alderson during DISA's E-Business and Internet
Conference & Exhibition in San Francisco.
    In its 11th year, DISA's Edward A. Guilbert award is presented to a select
group of distinguished service professionals from the EDI community.  It is
the highest level of recognition bestowed upon individuals who have
demonstrated outstanding leadership in the field of EDI.
    "This award places Jessie in the company of just 13 other distinguished
individuals who have achieved this level of excellence," said Bob Paul,
president and COO of Synapz.  "It reflects his enormous contribution to the
global e-commerce area and we are grateful for his expertise and outstanding
work."
    Alderson has more than 30 years of experience in data processing
techniques and material management systems, including such areas as Internet
technology management, project leadership, technical support and applications
development.
    In his current position at Synapz, Alderson is responsible for researching
and reviewing new technology as it develops in the automotive industry and
reporting its potential impact to management.  He also represents Synapz on 13
EDI-related work groups at the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG).
    In addition to this award, Alderson also has received the Supply Tech
Outstanding Employee Award, AIAG's Outstanding Achievement Award, the
Construction Industry Outstanding EDI Participant Award and the Judicial
Electronic Document and Data Interchange Outstanding Professional Award.
    Alderson currently resides in Belleville, Mich.
