Oshkosh Truck Agrees to Buy Certain Temco Assets

    OSHKOSH, WIS.--March 9, 2001--Oshkosh Truck Corporation [NASDAQ: OTRKB], a leading manufacturer of trucks and truck bodies, announced today that it has agreed to purchase certain assets of Trinity Equipment Manufacturing Company (TEMCO), a concrete mixer and parts manufacturer, from its parent company, Dallas-based Trinity Industries, Inc. [NYSE: TRN]. TEMCO is ceasing production of concrete mixers, concrete mixer parts and concrete batch plants.
    The companies have signed an agreement for Oshkosh to buy machinery, equipment, parts inventory and certain intangible assets. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
