Andrea Joins The Center for Automotive Research At the
Environmental Research Institute of Michigan (ERIM)
ANN ARBOR, Mich., March 9 The Center for Automotive
Research (CAR) at the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan (ERIM) is
pleased to announce that David J. Andrea has joined as the director of CAR's
forecasting group. CAR's purpose is to conduct research in significant issues
related to the future direction of the global automotive industry and organize
and conduct forums of value to the automotive community.
Dr. David E. Cole is the director of CAR. The Economics and Business
group, led by Dr. Sean McAlinden, performs economic and business modeling of
many areas of the world motor vehicle industry for the purpose of forecasting
and policy analysis. The Manufacturing Systems group, headed by Dr. Jay
Baron, works with new product development and manufacturing methods with an
emphasis on the dimensional validation of processes related to auto body
manufacturing. Lisa Hart is CAR's director of Business Operations and Jerry
Mader, the manager of Business Development.
Wendy Barhydt is director of CAR's Executive Conferences and Seminars.
One of CAR's largest and best known activities is the annual summer Management
Briefing Seminars in Traverse City, co-sponsored by the University of
Michigan. That event will take place Aug. 6-10, 2001.
The Environmental Research Institute of Michigan (ERIM) is a non-profit
