Grupo Dina Announces Death of Former Chairman

    MEXICO CITY, March 8 Consorcio G. Grupo Dina, S.A. de
C.V., a leading Latin American producer of trucks, today announced the death
on March 4th of Mr. Rafael Gomez Flores, its former Chairman. He died in
Guadalajara after a long illness.
    Mr.Gomez Flores, 43, had stepped down as Dina's Chairman and resigned from
the Board of Directors at a February 14th shareholders meeting, and was acting
as advisor to the company.
    At the Extraordinary Shareholders Meeting held on March 2nd, Jose Gamaliel
Garcia Cortes, Guillermo Gomez Flores and Mauricio German Mendoza Silver were
designated to handle negotiations in order to resolve the company's financial
situation. They were authorized to take such actions as may be necessary to
restructure Dina's outstanding indebtedness.
    Mr. Gomez Flores is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marissa Velasco de Gomez;
his daughters Marissa and Paulina Gomez Velasco, his son Rafael Gomez Velasco;
and his mother, Mrs. Altagracia Flores de Gomez.
    The officers and employees of Consorcio G. Grupo Dina wish to express
their condolences to Mr. Flores' family and friends.
