Refinity Corporation Names Mark M. Baron Vice President of Business Development

    LYNN, Mass.--March 7, 2001--Refinity(TM) Corporation, one of the nation's oldest and leading precious metals refiners, today announced that Mark M. Baron has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development. In this newly created position Mr. Baron will focus on identifying and developing new market opportunities for Refinity worldwide.
    In making the announcement Refinity President Robert J. Davis said: "Mark's academic credentials and his extensive hands-on sales and management experience will be invaluable to us as we expand our reach into new markets. His understanding of the many complex environmental issues surrounding the recovery of precious metals from hazardous wastes will help us to continue to deliver superior service to our clients."
    Mr. Baron joins Refinity from EQ-The Environmental Quality Company in Wayne, MI, where he was sales manager for the Michigan Recovery Systems, Inc. (MRSI) business unit. At MRSI he had overall responsibility for the company's sales activities. Mr. Baron started as an account executive at EQ, managing the northeast territory and eventually became the Regional Sales Manager.
    Prior to his tenure at EQ, Mr. Baron served as senior consultant at Entech Management Services Corp, Buffalo, NY, where he was responsible for outside sales and auditing all the company's facilities, which included recyclers, solvent and metal reclaimers, wastewater treatment, hazardous and non-hazardous waste landfills, and treatment facilities.
    Mr. Baron began his career as a QA/QC chemist. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY, where he also served as a laboratory instructor in biochemistry and molecular biology. He has completed postgraduate professional training in R.C.R.A. land disposal and hazardous waste regulations, and attended OSHA and DOT HM-181 courses.
