Rexhall Industries Announces the Appointment of Michael Bourne, Executive Vice President & COO

LANCASTER, Calif.--March 7, 2001--Rexhall Industries Inc. today announced its appointment of Michael Bourne as executive vice president & COO.
Bourne comes to Rexhall from his most recent position as director of Western Region Operations for Grumman Olson, a manufacturer of commercial delivery trucks used by such companies as UPS, FedEx, Ryder and Budget. Bourne's responsibilities were essentially all inclusive as it related to the overall performance of Grumman Olson's Western Region, and under Bourne's leadership, they enjoyed 33% growth in just two years.
"We are very excited to have the opportunity to bring Mike on board," said Bill Rex, Rexhall president and CEO. "While the industries are not identical, we do share a lot of the same day-to-day operational hurdles, and we are confident that Mike's expertise will bring about positive change that will enhance Rexhall's performance as a company."
Bourne graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1987 with a degree in accounting and a minor in computer science. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago in 1999. Bourne is also a certified public accountant.
As executive vice president and COO, Bourne will be taking charge of the day-to-day operations at Rexhall.
"I have found Rexhall to have a dedicated and loyal staff. Due to rapid growth in the early years, I believe the foundation that was established, though it was a good foundation, now needs new practices and disciplines," said Bourne. "In my coming on board, I will bring these practices and disciplines to make this foundation stronger and more efficient, which will enable Rexhall to continue growing."
Rexhall Industries Inc. (www.rexhall.com) designs, manufactures and sells various models of Class A motorhomes used for leisure travel and outdoor activities. Rexhall's six lines of Class A motorhomes, sold through approximately 100 dealer locations across the United States, Canada and Europe, include Aerbus, RexAir, Vision, American Clipper, Anthem and RoseAir.

Statements of intentions or expectations are "forward-looking statements," based on assumptions and on facts known today. There are risks that actual developments will not be as favorable as expectations, both because of risks existing today and because of new factors arising. The company does not intend to update this report. Rexhall's business is seasonal, and is approaching the annual period when sales decline. The recreational vehicle industry has in the past enjoyed favorable recreational vehicle industry sales when there are low interest rates, low unemployment and ready availability of motor fuel. The company sees continual speculation that interest rates will rise, and recent reports of decreased consumer confidence may reduce sales. Many of Rexhall's competitors are substantially larger, and many of its suppliers also have greater economic power, so that the volume and prices of both supplies and sales may be adversely affected. Management intends to remain aware of these factors and react to them, but cannot predict their timing or significance.
