MARTINSVILLE, VA– As the Virginia 500 NASCAR Winston Cup race draws closer, Martinsville Speedway’s ticket office has plans to extend its hours.

Beginning Monday, March 12, Martinsville Speedway’s ticket office will now be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office also will be open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. leading up to the April 8th Virginia 500.

And tickets are always available 24 hours a day via “tickets.com” on the speedway’s web www.martinsvillespeedway.com.

“We know race fans work and some may not have an opportunity to call regular business hours,” said Martinsville Speedway president Clay Campbell. “And we want to make sure all fans have the opportunity to get through to our ticket office.”

Ticket prices for the Virginia 500 range from $40 to $70. Great tower seats are still available in all towers and in the east, west and south grandstands.

Martinsville Speedway is also offering family unreserved seating that allows parents to bring children ages six to 12 to the Virginia 500 for $5 per child. Adult tickets in the family unreserved area will be $40. Children under age six get in free to the Family Section. The Family Section goes on sale race morning at 7:30.

The Family Section, as well as all of the concrete bleachers at Martinsville Speedway, has undergone a facelift in the past year. Aluminum seats with back rests now cover all of the concrete areas for fans’ comfort.

The Virginia500/Advance Auto Parts 250 weekend kicks off on Friday, April 6 with Bud Pole qualifying for the Virginia 500. Tickets for Bud Pole day are $15 for adults and children under 12 get in free with a paying adult. Included in that ticket price is qualifying for the Advance Auto Parts 250 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race and several practice sessions for both The Winston Cup and NASCAR Craftsman Truck series. The Advance Auto Parts 250 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race starts at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 7. Adult tickets are $30 and children ages 6-12 can attend for $5.
