dSPACE Shows Automotive Systems Innovations at SAE Congress

DETROIT, March 2 Innovations in electronics technology for
engineering development processes are being demonstrated at the SAE 2001 World
Congress and Exposition, March 5-8 by dSPACE, a German-based high-technology
company with North American headquarters in Northville, Michigan.
A market leader and innovator in solutions and systems for development of
embedded electronic controllers, dSPACE provides hardware, software and
engineering support services for controller testing, prototyping control
algorithms, and automatic production code generation. In its SAE exhibit at
booth 2801, the company will have demonstration stations for six of its
products:

    * Simulator-Compact, the latest addition to the company's simulator
product line-up, making its debut.
    * TargetLink, software for automatic production code generation that
radically speeds up the development process for rapid control prototyping.
    * ControlDesk, the next generation of dSPACE's experiment software for
seamless controller development.
    * MicroAutoBox, a real-time hardware concept that performs fast
prototyping. Vehicle Dynamics Simulator with the Alpha version of the 3D
animation tool, MotionDesk.
    *  Engine Simulator.

"dSPACE provides an optimal mix of standard solutions and customer
specific engineering," according Herbert Hanselmann, a company founder,
president and chief executive officer. "We can revolutionize development
processes with real-time systems for controller prototyping, automatic
production code generation, and virtual system tests."
dSPACE systems can enable manufacturers of controllers and electronic
control units to dramatically reduce their development times and costs and
increase quality, he said. The company is also a leading worldwide supplier
of solutions for rapidly developing and testing mechatronic control systems.
Founded in 1988, dSPACE has its headquarters in Paderborn, Germany and an
engineering project center in Munich, Germany. In addition to its Northville,
Michigan subsidiary, the company also has locations in Europe, Australia,
Japan, India, Israel, Korea, and Taiwan. Today, more then 6,000 dSPACE
systems are in use worldwide, serving customers in the automotive, aerospace,
agricultural, educational, engineering, robotics and noise & vibration
industries. More information is on the Internet at http://www.dspaceinc.com .
