Clarion Corporation of America Appoints Two New V.P.s For Newly Formed Strategic Divisions

    DETROIT, March 1 Clarion Corporation of America announces
the creation of two separate Divisions with newly appointed Vice Presidents to
oversee each division.  This move will transform the way Clarion, the leading
car audio, mobile electronics and component supplier, has served its
customers.  These two distinctive divisions, Clarion OEM (Original Equipment
Manufacturer) Group and Clarion Device Corporation (CDC) will improve
Clarion's ability to better support their customers and focus on the rapidly
changing needs of the automotive industry.

    In making the announcement, Mr. R. Tonari, President and CEO of Clarion
Corporation of America (CCA), says, "I expect these two gentlemen will bring
proven skills and experience that will improve our relationships with
customers and build new business opportunities."
    Steven Gramig, newly appointed Senior Vice President of OEM Sales, brings
over twenty-five years experience in all aspects of OEM sales and marketing of
audio entertainment systems.  Previously, Gramig was Vice President of OEM
Sales at Onkyo America Inc., where he worked closely with customers and
internal departments to implement valuable cost saving VA/VE ideas to improve
profitability for all parties.  Gramig will direct the OEM Group sales and
related efforts for Clarion finished goods for the OEM market.
    Paul S. Lachner was named new Vice President of Sales for Clarion Device
Corporation (CDC).  Lachner, formerly Senior Program Manager at Sony
Electronics' Mobile Communications Group has fifteen years expertise in
engineering and marketing mobile entertainment and driver information systems.
Lachner will be responsible for sales and related activities for CDC products
and components such as CD, DVD, MD, Cassette mechanisms and a variety of other
electronic products.
    Both Gramig and Lachner will have responsibility for entire CCA sales
efforts within their respective Divisions and will report directly to the
President of CCA.  Their offices will be located in two separate Clarion
facilities in Novi, Michigan.
