Subaru of America, Inc. Announces February Sales Results

    CHERRY HILL, N.J., March 1 Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA)
today announced sales figures for the month of February.  Subaru recorded a
sales total of 13,620 units, down slightly (2%) from 2000 totals of 13,951 for
the same period.

    Subaru Outback led February sales with 6,136 units posted, an increase of
9 percent from February 2000 totals.  Forester recorded a sales total of
4,336 units, while Impreza accounted for 1,229 unit sales.
