Nissan Division Reports February Sales Figures

    CARSON, Calif., March 1 Nissan Division today posted a
6.8 percent decrease in car and truck sales last month compared with sales in
February 2000.  Sentra maintained its strong performance with the sale of
7,030 vehicles, a 153 percent increase compared with the same month last year,
while Pathfinder sales increased to 5,895 vehicles, a 2.1 percent increase
versus year-ago levels.

    Combined U.S. sales for Nissan and Infiniti divisions totaled 53,893
vehicles in February, a 6.1 percent decrease compared with the same month last
year.

    Other February sales highlights include:
    -- Altima sales of 11,906
    -- Maxima sales of 8,353
    -- Xterra sales of 5,735
    -- Quest sales of 1,981
    -- Frontier sales of 7,355
