Audi of America Reports Best February Ever

    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 1 Audi of America set an all-
time sales record for the best February ever.  Sales of 5,883 units were up
2.7 percent over last year's result of 5,730.  Year-to-date sales are 12,051
up from 2000 year-to-date sales of 11,915.

    Audi enjoyed steady sales from its A4 with 2,549 sold, an increase of 4.9
percent over 2000 sales of 2,430.  Audi TT sales increased to 1,008 in
February while A6 sales declined with 1,704 sales.

    Sales in February for the A8 were 178, with 47 percent coming from A8L and
45 percent from the new S8, which went on sale in January.

    The Audi allroad quattro also contributed to Audi's record February with
444 units sold.
