Ethyl Corporation Changes Date of Annual Shareholders Meeting

    RICHMOND, Va.--Feb. 28, 2001--Ethyl Corporation announced that the Annual Shareholders Meeting will be held on May 30, 2001 rather than April 26, 2001.
    The meeting will be held at the Tredegar Iron Works in Richmond Virginia at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
    The board of directors elected to move the date in order for Ethyl to provide the shareholders with a progress report on the business restructuring activities that were recently announced.
