ENGLEWOOD, Colo.-The Sports Car Club of America, Inc. and Yokohama Tire Corporation have announced a $50,000 contingency program for the SCCA® Spec Racer® Ford class during the 2001 SCCA Club Racing National season.

The program features a $200 payout for each win in the 70 SCCA National races.

The top 10 finishers in Spec Racer Ford at the 2001 SCCA Valvoline Runoffs® will share in a $26,000 pool, with first place receiving $7,000 cash. In addition, each of the eight SRF Divisional Champions will be awarded $750. Second place in the divisional points hunt will receive $500.

Spec Racer Ford is the SCCA's largest class of cars with 800 of the identically-built vehicles on the track. Yokohama's A008RS II was chosen as the category's "spec" tire for all SCCA Club Racing and Pro Racing competitions through the 2003 season.
